We had her birthday on the actual day since it fell on a Saturday this year - it was a doggie theme, of course! We had friends and family over to the house from 10am-1pm for lots of doggie themed snacks, cake, games, and facepaint :) I had originally scheduled her party to start at 3pm, but since it was so hot, I moved the time about a week ahead, and everybody was still able to come - so it worked out perfectly!! The kids enjoyed playing outside on the new playscape, and I had a sand table, a tunnel, a basketball hoop, doggie shaped water guns, a ball pit, bubbles, and chalk for them to play with outside. We also had toys and coloring inside! McKenna had a great time, and we really appreciated everybody who came! Here are some pictures from the paw-ty!!
The sign we (Gigi and I) made for the front door :)
I had dog prints all over the walls of the house and outside on the garage door and fence!
Doggie plates and napkins
The take out window that had all the kids "doggie bags" in it
The precious cake my mom made and brought with her all the way from Houston!
A picture of McKenna with some gifts from the grandparents we let her open the night before
Blowing out the candle
McKenna and Syler in their doggie hats and painted faces! I was so impressed that all the kids were okay with it and actually liked wearing the hats!
Some of the other friends at the party....(there are so many pictures - I'll have to add more to facebook!)
